ps2 help needed

Post by Maniac_Man »

my ps2 turns on and everything. the disc tray comes out when i press the button and the laser will turn on as well. it will even read the games. the problem is that i have no audio or visual. are there any fuses leading to those lines?

Try getting a New AV cable before opening your PS2

im not retarded. i just need help. i tried the normal troubleshooting stuff that people normally do. its not the tv, and its not the a/v wire. i soldered on a composite out and hooked up an a/v video wire and it didnt work. do you think maybe there is a bad resistor or cap causing this problem? I got the ps2 for free. it was already broken so if no body can help it doesnt matter too much, but i appreciate the help i get.

Guess the best thing is to, yeah look and check the fuses by the video output. Beyond that, if you can't fix it that way it might be useless, or sell it on ebay.
