8.4v Battery Monitor using LEDs?

Hey guys, I've been looking for a while, and I can't seem to find a circuit that fits my needs.

I need a circuit for a 8.4 volt battery that tells how much battery life is left using LEDs.

It can be an array of 2-4 LEDs that go off accordingly to the battery's voltage.

Can anyone help?

That circuit looks like it can't go up to 8.4v. Any Others?stfu joe

What kinda battery are you using?

because different battery types have different ways of doing that kinda thing, this was looked at a while back

8.4v, 4500mAh. I remember when timmeh was gonna do that. But he got too busy or something.

i tried and failed 5 times. lol. then i just had other things to do. like school and my n64. i still have a board design, the parts, and the chips... maybe one day.

however. this circuit looks really useful (the first one). the looks much easier. i might attempt it one of these days (ie. next time i get a chance to tag along on someone elses digikey order

). It would not work as well for nimh...

Yeah, I've tried that. It says its a free sample, but unless you have a corporate email address, it'll make you pay shipping and handling... So this brings me to my next question, would anyone set up an temporary email account on their site for me???

EDIT: I got it all straightened out by going to fanmail.com and setting up an email forwarding account from army.com. So free microchip shipping and handling from now on!
