9v fry a PSOne screen?

SO, Would it be theoretically (sp) and reliably possible to run a Psone screen off a 9v battery (those little square ones you put in smoke alarms)? If so, how long would the battery last before running out? (before and after LED mod).

If not, Can anyone reccomend a 7.5-8v rechargable of similar size?

theoritically you could, but there wouldn't be much point, even fully LED modded a 9v single cell wouldn't even last an hour, the average 9v battery has about 200-300 mA (milli-amps) per hour, with three LED's the screen needs 310-350 mA so you can easily see why it wouldn't last an hour

Also bear in mind that it would last less than an hour wihtout the added power consumtion of whatever console you're using
