screen value question

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

theres no 'right screen' but the first one looks similar (not the same one) to the one i got alittle while ago and am working with right now.. and it was easy to desciper everything on the inside.. I didn't even use the guides, most of the third party screens have the basic yellow video wire and red/white wire for sound and red/black wire for power..

you could also probably gt it in other places for about $30-$40..

the second one says "digital" so if it really is digital, you can't use it (unless you're making a ps2p). does ps2 have a digital video output?

are you looking for this to portablize? if so, why would you want to buy such a big, hunky, EXPENSIVE screen when PSOne screens are readily available at about $30-$60? Or better yet, a HipGear for about $20?

Are the HipGear screensreally any different from the psone screens, besides being smaller and such?
PSp is about 70% done, just have to do the controller and case.

Well the hipgear and PSOne screens are (in my opinion) the most commonly used in this community, and therefore has more problems that have already been solved as well as people educated in the ways of their PCBs and such.

I wouldnt't get anything other than those 2 until I'm at least done more portables then I'm ever actually going to do.

my main issue is that i Cannot find a psone screen for less than $40 plus shipping

i just don't want to pay that much unless it is a little bigger

I might just have to suck it up on day and pay the $50 wish i could get it for about $30

Also I'm blind and a hip gear is too small
