Not that, laptops are way to big. And PDAS don't have the power of a laptop. This is a good idea I might try it.

It isn't even in the slightestly possible :P
But I may be event trying to portablize a laptop, what do you lot think?
I dont think it can be done...

Most of the things done to shrink a handheld to a smaller size are the following:

Remove RF sheilding and sometimes RF circuitry

Change heatsinks

Change the power supply

Since laptops have no RF(or anything that can be removed for that matter), are already running as hot as possible, and already have the power system built in as the most efficient and compact way possible, it isn't really possible. They are as portable as they can be. They're built to be that way.

I have been planning to put a PC into a hard breifcase, though...
i shake every thing at you silly sir... (no this is not spam i strongly disagree so much on this)

for one have you even taken an old laptop apart? there like 8 pounds of steel (new ones too) and no one takes a portable to make portable... (the gbomg line is a case mod! and so is your laptop thing!) but any way, i have an nec thats been with me for ever now and if i wanted to turn it to a hand held i so would! its got a vary small board (it would be heavy) and i cant imagine where i would put the huge screen (laptops have big screen compared to a PSone or a gameboy) but if i did make a lap top portable i would (and it would be like the tost pc i promised)
