Dont try to Impersonate Mario

Post by gamer2 »

Apparently, after the 911 incident, people cannot have fun anymore. This goes with these girls who decided to be silly with Mario blocks and try to cheer the townspeople up:

Pretty sad how society is today but I can understand if they were put on people's doorsteps because there are a lot of sick copulate out there that like putting packaged bombs on people's doorsteps. As for the website the girl's got the idea from, that does look like a fun idea. When I go back to college, I might make and hang up some of those around the campus since college students already know what Mario is.

What the heck could they get the "perpetrators" for any way? Trespassing? Littering? Maybe vandalism?

But we all know this is really just an excuse for the police to haul out one of their battle-bot thingies, poke some completely non-threatening object with it, smile for the T.V. cameras and say "See how well were protecting every body and looking Oh-so cool while doing it".

Sorry that's more of a joke than anything else, they probably didn't even use one in this incident, I just find it annoying home much air time those stupid robot-bomb-diffuser gadgets get. I mean their not that special, the army tested something similar in the 60's as a recon platform with the intent of sending it to 'Nam.

(P.S. if this post is to political and a mod would like me to edit it just pm me and I will do it asap)

Eh, it was a simple mistake. The kids didn't think they would get in trouble, and getting the bomb squad called out isn't exactly something you would expect to happen, even in today's world. The police did their job as well. They had no idea what was going on, and it's better to be safe than sorry. Simple mistake, doesn't have to have punishment, IMO.

I guess the right way to go about this is getting permission from the city. If you want to display art publicly, that's what you have to do.
