Try cleaning the cartridge contacts. They may be dirty, or the pins inside the DS may be dirty. That's all I can think of.

If something of mine doesn't work (like my CD player), I tend to throw it to get it to work. Even simpley dropping it on the floor or smacking it hard gets it to work again. Otherwise, I have no idea what's wrong. Are there some connections in the DS that aren't really connected as well?

Considering the lack of "touch me down there" prompt ( ), try this: Pull the the batt out ('course, you should unscrew the cover first) and clean the contacts. Put it back in, charge the DS FIRST, THEN turn it on...l

Yeah, don't tell people to throw stuff around to get it to work. I happen to know what happened to your GCN controller... I had some touch screen problems before, and Nintendo repaired it because I was still under warranty. Give them a call, tell them about the problem, and they'll have some solution.

I hit my PS2 all the time, and it always fixes the problem :D

I got pi*sed playing NFSU2 and threw the controller at the TV. It hit the shelf it was on and jammed the analog stick in. I tried to move the stick and i hear a *CRACK*. It only flops around  , but I had an excuse to buy a Wavebird :D .

Let's keep this on the topic of the DS, ok?

@Madcow, did you try any of our solutions and did any work?

Did you buy yor DS used?

The only reason the health warning would be gone is if someone flashed the DS with the hacked firmware that allows you to play DS roms and homebrew without the use of a passthrough device.

If they did then there is a way to revert to the old firmware (similar to downgrading on a PSP) but it's risky buisness and can cause your DS to die.

when he said he was playing some tetris, i assumed he meant he flashed his own DS so he could play homebrew tetris

None of them worked. :(
YEs, its tetris DS, got it monday and was only able to play for like an hour :(
I figured out whats wrong while attempting one of my other games, animal crossing. IT thinks I'm touching the sceen when I'm not. So it hangs in Tetris when you can select with the touchpad, and pictochat doesnt work. The first screen is getting bypassed because it thinks its being touched. So yeah, ill call nintendo soon. Hopefully I can get it back in three weeks, cause me and my friends are going to have a tetris fest going to science olympiad states.

Just ask them to send you one before you send the broken one in. Thats what I did when my DS had a dead pixel. They sent me a new DS in a box, I played with my old one to the extent I could untill my new one showed up. I took the old one out of the shipping box, put in the dead one and shiped it back, easy as that. They paid for all the shipping, all I had to do was break in a new DS :P
