Port Washington Premiere

I registered just to post this message. I finally got it downloaded and watched it. Was a great movie, really funny. BTW, the 1.3 GB QT MP4 file is XBOX 1 friendly for those that want to watch on TV with their XBOX and XBMC. I think anything that Ben does is great and I hope we can see other movies in the future.

I'd like to help with the bitTurrent and what not with the seeding....but I'm totaly a noob about it...anyone would like to explain how I can help? I have a fiber optic internet connection with like a 100 Mbps connection speed and I leave my computer on for along time (yeah I know thats not good to do) so I'm sure that would help people to dl from me.
YOU have a fiber optic connection... to your house??
anyways. get the large version of port washington first. then get the .torrent file. for it
now, i only know how to do this in uTorrent. so if you dont use it (which you should anyways), then i cant help you.
anyways, you open up the torrent file in uTorrent, and when it asks where to put the file, browse and select the movie file. (basically telling it to put what to downloads in this file. but then when it checks, the whole file is there, and it instantly jumps to 100%)
make sure "start seeding" and "dht" are checked off. dont turn on super-seeding. it goes faster with it off.
it should start seeding then.

there isn't really anything wrong with leaving dht checked, all dht does is allow people not connected to the tracker to download the movie from you, as this isn't a ratio tracker that doesn't matter.
Also, leaving you computer on is better physically for your computer than turning it on and off every day, the only concern is that it means there are more chances for someone to attempt to gain unauthorized access to your computer or for a worm to attack it, but using a router with NAT should provide decent enough protection against that.

Ben hasn't added this link yet, but, it has unlimited bandwidth, so download away. I'll have the bigger version, along with all the others of Ben's movies uploaded tomorrow.

Please tell me who your host is. I ahve been looking for a unmetered bandwidth one for ages.
Edit: also the speed you server is servign the file at is pretty low, 50-100k, compared to my connections max of around 450k. You might want to ask you host why its slow. They may be having a network problem.
