okay definetly keeping that. gonna desolder the two stripes then solder the wires on to them. is that it for powering the snes board? is it that simple?
when you have the grey plastic dc power jack off (again you can probably just break it w/ pliars) the left side in my pic is positive and the right side it negative!
wait now i got confused. i have to solder the battery pack to where the dc jack is then how do i solder the switch?
i have a 3 way switch and a battery pack, can anyone give me a simple step by step guide on what i have to do.
i thought i had to solder the battery pack to the thing beside the 7805 but youre telling me i have to solder it to the where the dc jack is. then how do i do the switch? and what ive i want the 3 way switch thing going where the third thing is a dc jack to power the system
so i have to desolder the 7805 and solder the two wires in place? and do i have to get a new dc jack or is there some way to have the current dc jack work again?
the "positive to nes" goes to the hole where the dc jack was that was on the left in my pic. the negative goes to the hole that is on the left and has a piece of electrical tape wrapped around the top!
ok, for the dc jack, the corner pad is +, and the pad to the right of that is -. I hope that helps.
just solder the 2 points of that "thingy" together after that.
^yeah you can consult the picture i posted the wire with the black tape at the top is the negative (on the right in the pic) and the one to the left of that is the positive! good luck!

oh alright i get that. but then thats 4 wires, the picture says only 2 go to the snes.
gannon wrote:Someone did his differently than in the diagram. It looks like he directly hooked his batteries up to the snes, and then installed a switch for power.
oh alright. but then he doesnt have a dc jack? i get it now. the "thingy" is where i solder the switch to and the dc jack is where i solder the battery pack to. my only question is what do i do about a dc jack, which i wont to have.
