DVD Screens?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

DVD Screens?

Post by smittles2003@yahoo.com »

I was just searching ebay, and it appeared that there were many portable dvd screens for relatively cheap...i remember hearing on the forums that those would work as long as they had the RCA inputs...

can anyone verify this would work? It appeared there were even some 7" screens going for about 50-60 w/ shipping...I think that would be a good deal if it would work...I'm going to be starting on a N64p soon, if that helps with compatibility of the screens...

Thanks for any advice or help you could give...

If you could get one that is just a screen with RCA inputs, that would be best. If it had the DVD player built-in and RCA inputs, it might work, but the DVD section would weigh more and use power and might not work if you take it out. I had a DVD/VCR combo that the VCR didn't work, so I descided, "why waste space? I'll take out the tape deck and put an N64 in its place." Great idea, right? After I tool the tape deck out it would only stay on for about 15sec., and then turn off. Now that sucks!

EDIT: Some examples would be nice, too.
