x24's SNES Port.. help needed

im canadian, so ill try 'the source' (ik) but they have nothin good anymore..

does that thing have a name?

How much voltage are you putting in to your 7805. If its something low(liek 7.2-7.5) then yeah a small piece of metal should do just fine as a heat sink.

Why don't you just steal +5V from your screen's regulators. Then I think you don't need to worry about it.

and no, kurt, im not going to run it through that, Ive already got it all hooked up and running.. im just looking for a heatsink, not to rewire it all again..

I have been working with a full sizer myself, and what about that box that sticks out? Not the AV one, but the one that you can take out and put back on with the little male and female port things.. Is that box nesscesary?

If you're talking about the RF box, go for it.

And @ X24:

Wiring the +5 to the PS1 screen saves burned off power and space!

not the rf box. There is this wierd box sticking out on top, connected by something that looks like but isn't an expansion port.

@ Klefmung: Do you have an oldschool board? or a mini. If it's oldschool take a look at this and see if it's still there. This picture was taken when it still worked 100%.

Klefmung I think you have one of the really old SNES's with the seperate sound board. Is it a metal case(almost perfectly square in shape) to the right of the multi-out jack?

Those were just some washers screwed into the 7805 so I could play it. Unfortunately, I broke both my SNES's whilst playing them.
