I'm questioning our existence on this Earth. (Please Read!)

It's beliefs like these which is why there are so many different religions. I personally don't believe in life after death or anything. As I said before, once you die, that is nothing, but you can't experience it because your dead... Wait a second, i'm changing my mind. Your dead, and now you really are experiencing nothing! But, if your experiencing nothing you won't know that your experiencing nothing because there is nothing to experience. Have I lost you yet?

With religions, there are obviously no facts to prove them, but that is why they are only beliefs. OK, so if there are so many religions, you choose which one you want to believe in and that's whats going to happen. If you are Christian you will either go to heaven or hell (if you are a bad Christian). If you are Buddhist you can reincarnate into another animal. But me, personally not believing in any religion, what happens to me? I go to nothing-land.

Hey, speaking of another land, maybe nothing really is another dimension. A dimension -- of nothing! But then, you go there, there are plenty of other people who are non religous, don't they go there too? But it's NOTHING! You can't meet with them because the dimension is nothing. OK, that part may be true, but I'm scratching out the part of a dimension of nothing.

There's so much more, I could come up with, but this is a long enough post already.

I believe that we are here to serve out Heavenly Father as best we can. God has put us on this earth to serve Him, that is why we were created. After we die, there are 2 possible places we could go, Heaven or Hell. If you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you will go to Heaven. If you do not, you will go to Hell. It is that simple. There question we all have to ask. Have I accepted Christ? If you have not, it is not too late. Invite Him into your heart to be your Savior today.

Look at the world around you. Do you honestly think all of this happened by chance? How could the earth just happen to be on the perfect angle so that we can experience all four seasons? How can we be close enough to the sun not to freeze to death yet far enough away not to melt? Everything in this universe shows a Creator.

To me, the evidence is clear. God created the heavens and the earth, and when I die, I will meet Him is Heaven. End of story.

While you have the right to believe that, that is only Christianity. There are many other religions, and no religion is 'right' or 'wrong'.

You are correct, everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. That is why I said "I believe."

And in fact, any religion taken in an extremist point of view is bad. Although I have yet to see an Amish extremest blow up a building with umm.. manure I guess

I see no point to extremism. Killing somebody because they dont believe in your faith dosen't seem too rewarding for me.

my views on religion are pretty different frmo most people i know. generally speaking i belive in god and all that stuff (i would say i am basically a very non devout cristian) but what i LIKE is much different, i really liek the religious ideas that are sometimes found in science fiction actually, especialy the books endymion and rise of endymion by dan simmons and Nights Dawn Trilogy books by peter f hamilton, they really do amke you think! but other than that i cant really put what i truly belive in into words lol. mebe i will try sometime

Well, I've thought this through, and my views keep slightly changing.

So, there are religions, but leaving religion out of this post, I'm going to talk about what is proven by science. I've talked about religion quite abit in this thread anyways.

Your body is made up of cells, these cells create your brain, and the chemicals inside your brain determine what you think, and what you think you are. When you die, your brain shuts down, and then that is nothing. Your not actually experiencing it though, because you can't without a functional brain.

So what is nothing? Nothing is just the absence of something. Do you actually experience it? No, because there is always something until you die. When you die, you don't do anything. You can be burried or cremaited or whatever, but you don't think; you don't experience anything else.

What about when you are born? When you are growing inside your mommy

when you are just starting to grow, you are actually living, but without a brain, so you could indeed be experiencing nothing. This gave me an idea, plants are living but they don't actually think, because they don't have a brain. Is it possible that a plant experiences nothing?

Religion could be just a thing to protect yourself. It could be something humans have created over the years to make themselves feel safe. However, every race has their own religion, and those that were split off from the rest of the world have there own religion too.

Think about this post, but don't take it too seriously. If I have said something that has offended you, let me know.
