Time for some Money... :P

Post by Radon199 »

Well I just have to vent this somewhere and here seems like the best place lol.

I went for a job interview at Zellers on Thursday and today they phoned me up and said I am hired. :D I'm going to be working in Home Electronics and sometimes on Cash depending on the workload. It's not EB or Futureshop but it's better than a grocery store where an employe discount is useless, atleast at Zellers I can buy games :P

Anyone else get any part time jobs latlely? This is my first real one so it should be interesting :P

Well, I do interior house painting with my dad in the summer time - some serious good money. Most of the time I can get $10/hr, and I've even made up to $40/hour occasionally.

I'm getting somewhat desperate for a summer job. Hardly any places in my city are hiring, and there's a mass of teenagers looking for summer jobs, so any jobs are in high demand. I'm even contemplating applying to work at Chuck E' Cheeses...

My ebay habit supports itself with a little bit left over to transfer to my checking account. Speaking of which, I need to go mail out a fedora today during lunch. :)

Ya I know how you feel Weebl, I've been looking for a job for 6 months, nothing very drastic, just droping off resumes at 2 or 3 places every couple of months. There are 2 really good times to get those resumes out, September and March. In September people are looking for sesonal emploies for the holidays and in March all the sesonals are gone and the stores are looking for people for summer.

The one good thing about getting a job now is you know your not gonna get fired in 3 months lol... unless you really suck ^.^;

I've been looking for a job for sometime now. But seeing as I'll be 15 this fall and I live 3 miles out of town, I'm flat out of luck. I just don't want to depend on relatives for cash because there's only so much you can do for them.

I work at my dad's jewelery shop. I don't make much, seeing as I get payed mostly in breakfast and hot chocolate... Still, it's not like I need the money, so 20 bucks a day is fine (including food expenses)...

On weekends I referee soccer games sometimes... easy money ($22.50 a game), and usually it's just running around watching 7 year olds kick the ball around... :D
