depends if they have a protection circuit or not... dvd player batteries do almost always.

even with a protection circuit, you can still explode them if you dont know what you are doing.

Hi, another question, how do you know when a battery needs to be recharged? I’m just wondering because before, around 1998, I had 2 button cells. I used them literally till they were dead. The stuff inside them, well… kind of came out. I’m just wondering because that was the only time I couldn’t tell how much life was in them (in gameboy I could though). Is there even a way how to tell how much mAH is left in a Li-Poly battery?

Basically, you need a battery meter, or a good sense of timing.

Or you can buy a battery with a protection circuit that cuts itself off before the juice runs out.

Oh it does , yes!!! So... I think I might get this battery. It's prewired with a PCB, so all I need is a charger, which it states (and a female and male connecter).

edit: also it's much more light weight than the DVD battery, so it's better
