I need to raise my motherboard up for my case to fit it, what can I do?

What do you mean? What's the scenario? At any rate, I suggest nylon spacers. They do a good job of, well... Spacing. Mabe you could use 'em...

@Jeff: There are these small riser screws that raise up the mobo. The case or mobo should've came with them.

The gold one on the left is most common.

whatever you do, do NOT get the plastic white risers seen in the above picture. those things are a frikin pain to remove.

Guys, I don't think he means rising it in regular terms, I'm pretty sure he needs to actualy move the motherboard up the case (as the mobo doesn't fit with current mounting holes). Sounds like you need a new case Jeff. One that's actualy made for your perticular type of motherboard (ATX, mini ATX, BTX, mini ITX).

What kind of case is it? (Is it from a company like Dell or a generic box?)

What layout is the motherboard? (ATX, Mini-ATX, proprietary?)

If the case complies to ATX standards, then it should have some different places you can put the motherboard standoffs to make it fit properly. If it's any manufacturer other than Dell or eMachines, it may work with some modification. Dell cases are useless; since the company has some fixation on making all their hardware in-house (besides the hard drive, cd drive and floppy drive), you will have to do HEAVY modification to the case to get it to fit.

Basically if it isn't a generic case, it will be much easier to go to CompUSA ot NewEgg or something and buy a new case.

How about moving from a dell to a new case?

And Skyone, I got nothing but the case itself with the case. Well, the power supply was in there, lol.

Same problem. Dell's motherboards don't really conform to any layout standards, so to move a Dell motherboard to a new case you will have to do some fabrication.

Actually, mine seems to fit it, its just the height, lol.

Oh, then go to Fry's or Newegg.com and buy a new case or some of those screws I mentioned.

I dont get the whole question, so bear with me.
