Flashing LED

Post by RideZiLightning9 »

Alright, so I just did all the wiring to relocate the cartridge slot. I turn the thing on and the LED flashes, no picture, and I can hear the power supply clicking. I checked all my new wiring and the micrometer needle jumps with all but one. Nothing is touching it, it looks fine. Any ideas or did I screw it up and need to get myself a new n64?

You may want to check all your solder connections again, just to be 114% sure that nothing is shorted. Also, did it work before you relocated the cart slot?

I've tried it in, out, backwards, everything. I think one of the traces might have gotten pulled out near where the nonworking wire goes in. I'm gunna solder the wire straight to it and see what happens.

If you power supply clicked, then you've got something really wrong. That noise was the breaker in the power supply flipping off becuase you shorted something, and it turned off to keep from frying your N64.

Check carefully for shorts, and wait a day or so for the power supply to flip back on.

Actually I desoldered all of them, but once I had replaced them all, a wire got yanked and pulled the trace out. Working now. thanks.
