PSone Screen Protector

Does one exist? If not, how would I go about putting one on my case so the actual screen doesnt get scratched up?

Just the one that was taped on to the PSOne screen when it first came out of the box. You could make one out of plexi, and put it over it.

Then you would be buying a thin piece of transparancy paper. Teachers use it when they make sheets for an overhead projector. Just go to your local craft store, but some transparancies, and superglue it on top of the unit (where the screen come out).

I can easily get transperancy paper from my school but i dont think it would look very good would it?

What they're saying is that a new PSOne screen came with a cheap transparency covering it that really only served to protect it in the packaging. You wouldn't leave such a thing on there for use. Instead, cut down a thin piece of clear plastic to the size of the screen and use that in your project.

Ohhh ok heres what i plan on doing....on the faceplate of my portable, theres a hole for the screen, now the faceplate is 1/16'' thinck, so i wana take a piece of 1/16'' fiberglass and cut it to the right size and put it in there, would that work?

It would work, sure, but it would also scratch.

Personally, what i'm doing for my portable, is buy a Laptop screen protector (made from the same material that the of the one on your DS/PSP/GBA/Whatev and Xacto it down to a "5 scale.

Hmmmmm... I've been looking for something like this, too. I do remember GameStop and EB having a Gamecube screen protector, kinda like those PSP screen protectors, seeing as they both just stick on and protect from minor scratches and use; no messy gluing! And if memory serves, that screen protector was almost just the right size (may have been a little big, in that case just cut it down to fit the PSOne screen)!

You could just cut a piece of clear plastic out of pretty much anything that comes in a package. You know, the plastic packaging glued to the cardboard on 9/10 of everything anyone buys. I did that and it works well. Except its not extremely thick and it scratches easy.

Yeah, just use transparency paper taped to the sides of the LCD's board. It covers the whole LCD, and you can't really even see it.

do a search for diy screen protectors for ipods there is a lot our there and I am sure some of it is transferable.
