Half Life 2 Demo

Post by Sword_Gun »

Okay a Few things.
I have a Radeon 7500 Mability Card, The ATi site says the normal 7500 is a 64mb, while the Mobility Info says its 32 mb... Hmm, with that run on Likw low on the HL2 Demo?

Also another Worry, I have a 35 GIG HD, Im just on a Laptop so the HD is small, and The current Space left is: 18.6 GIG, If i Download the HL2 Demo through steam it says its like 3 gigs big, So I will be left at 15.6 GIG.
Will my computer still Run reletivly fast a 15 Gig out of 35 Gig?

and VB told me about the DevCon (Devolopers Console), What is it used for? Can I some how like put low gravity on or something?

and Is the Demo Multi Player and Single Player? or just Single?

Thanks,
Sword

Your computer will be fine with that amount of space. I have it running on a laptop with a 20GB harddrive, and only 12 GB left (I had it with 7 GB left before :P ). Your video card might be ok at low, processor can help (how fast is it?) 512 MB of RAM is necessary. The Developer's Console is used for noclip (you're a ghost), god (you're invincible), impulse 101 (spawning all weapons), and notarget (enemies don't attack). When you first run the Developer's Console, you need to type sv_cheats 1.

Install takes a while. Have fun!

Yeah, 1.4 GHz is not enough. Sorry. You're never going to be able to play Half-Life 2.

I tried to download the demo at the library and burn it to a CD, but the frikkin demo is too big! Since when did compressed game demos become too big to fit on a 700MB CD?
