And my views that actually mean something:

I prefer Windows for gaming and a lot of stuff because of compatibility. I run XP Pro SP2 on an Athlon 64 3000+. Then theres my laptop with a Mobile P4 which I run Slackware Linux on. I prefer Linux for programming and homework and stuff because it is way more stable. Theirs nothing worse then finishing your report to have the computer freeze (and usually i'm too interested in finishing the report to remember to save). I find Macs too expensive. If I could afford a Mac, hell I would buy one because I love the UI and they are great for music recording (which I currently do on my Windows compy) but they just cost too damn much!

My 2^1 cents

EDIT: Oh, and I always eat rice with a fork! And me and my friend last year were talking about Star Wars and came up with "The ways of the SPORCE" and the "spuffin saber" and "sporks". :D
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...

After seeing this again I forgot to say something.

Linux, good and bad. While Linux is what I'm using right now and likely will use for awhile it too has ups and downs. For example Linux will natively support dual-core CPUs, has protected memory, has tons of free software and is free (subject to change). And while those are great I don't like linux when I have dependancies (stupid System V), really there is no company that supports it (without paying $500 package), and there are way too many distrobutions (linuxquestions has over 100)

BSD, there is Free, Net, Open and PC to choose from. I'll tell you know I had really a better time with PC-BSD then SuSE, namely because installing things didn't give me a stupid dependancy, is really more stable and tested, strong enough for a server. The downside is that PC-BSD is the only one that can pickup and install without having to use an ASCII menu, has a big learning curve and while it has over 10,000 programs for FreeBSD itself you need a Linux Binary layer to run many new OS programs.

That sums up most of the OSs, the only others I can think of are very small, like run on embedded devices and things like that.

Danger: long post

Haha, I respect you opinions Harshboy, the only things bugging me are CTR, coolboarders, and Air Fortress.

Why do I prefer CTR (Crash Team Racing) over Mariokart 64?
First of all: Seriously, Mariokart 64 is great, I have it. But CTR owns it. It's got way better level design than MK64. I'm not saying that the Crash Kart series owns the Mario Kart series, heavens no! Only CTR owned, any other Crash Kart game was total feces, and MarioKart is gold.
Second: The graphics. Why did Nintendo have to use pre-rendered graphics? [agony]why[/agony]? Pre-rendered images, for those who aren't smart enough (read: those who don't eat rice with a fork), are a type of graphical "trick" game makers use to give the appearance of extremely detailed, usually 3D objects, with a 2D image. In other words, the Mariokart 64 racers (and the Mariokart Super Circuit racers) look 3D but are just 2D images of a 3D object. This drastically limits the amount of angles that the object can be seen from. It usually can no longer be seen from above, in the end ceremony cutscene, try to notice how the karts lean forward on their tiptoes (or tiptires) when viewed from various angles on the podium. CTR's karts were pure beautiful 3D, and they made sure to flaunt it with more camera angles than you can roundhouse kick to the face.

Coolboarders in my opinion was, well, maybe not much better than SSX, but I enjoy it much more, and I have both.

Air Fortress: I don't know if you even know what this game is, but it's waaaaay funner than metroid. It's kinda got the same appearance, but if you play it a little, you'll love it. I mean, come on! It was made by HAL, the same foos who brought you Kirby and the Super Smash Bros series.
(tidbit)- Air Fortress Reference in Super Smash Bros. Melee: The "Warning" phase in adventure mode after you beat Samus is a spitting copy of the end of every Air Fortress level: bust your buns to get to the escape before this mutha explodes. All the platforms and the exit match. (Could defeating Samus and then getting an Air Fortress reference be HAL's way of saying their game was better?)

Joke Time!
God wrote:Jesus and Satan were having an ongoing argument about who managed to get the most out of his computer. This had been going on for days and God, was tired of hearing all of the bickering.

God said, "Cool it. I am going to set up a test that will run two hours and I will judge who does the better job."

So down they sat at the keyboards and typed away. They moused away. They did spreadsheets, they wrote reports, they sent faxes, they sent out e-mail, they sent out e-mail with attachments, they downloaded, they did some genealogy reports, they made cards, they did every known job. But just a few minutes before the two hours were up, a lightening flashed across the sky. The thunder rolled and the rains came down hard. And of course the electricity went off.

Satan was upset. He fumed and fussed and he ranted and raved, all to no avail. The electricity stayed off. But after a bit, the rains stopped and the electricity came back on. Satan screamed, "I lost it all when the power went off. What am I going to do? What happened to Jesus' work?"

Jesus just sat and smiled.

Again Satan asked about the work that Jesus had done. As Jesus turned his computer back on the screen glowed and when he pushed "print it", it was all there. "How did he do it." Satan asked? God smiled and said, "Jesus Saves."

PC = most value
Mac = least value
Xbox = best graphics
PS2 = most games
Gamecube = best value
teraflop122 > everyone

But seriously, why would I pay more for a Mac with a crippled library of games, when I can do everything just as well on a cheaper PC AND with the full library of games?

What I said about the consoles:

Xbox has the best graphics, because it does. The console has the most capable hardware, etc, etc.

PS2 has the most games, self explanatory

GCN is the best value, because it is cheap, and the vast majority of its smaller library of games are actually good.
