Question about using HD LCD's and where to get one?

is there any Small High Definition LCD Screens for a reasonable price?

also...

is there a good chance of a small HD LCD Screen able to work with a PS2P Setup but yet have a decent Life Span?

reason why i wanna use a HD LCD is well for one Crisper Graphics bringing the realism out which is what im lookin for i'll be getting 4 battery packs pretty much just incase

if so then Great if not then i'll work with what i can get Price isn't much of a issue hehe

I don't really know of any cheap ones... in fact I honestly doubt they have cheap ones since nobody uses one. I'm sure you could probably hack one off a PSP though if 250 bucks is "reasonable" to you.

Nope, the best quality you can get out of a small LCD is the PSone lcd. You could hook it up to your PS2 with RGB and get good quality.

You could use the Lilliput lcds but you'd have to make your own C-sync decoder (to break the sync signal into H-sync and V-sync for the Lilliput.)

hmmm so im with ethier a PSP or a PS1....well i guess i'll stick with a PS1 i was gonna use a HD LCD Monitor but then thought to much of a hassle...

i seen around the board here about Green Tinting being seen and i went through the sticky and while in the proccess as much as i understanded it the completely proccess confused me when i used a Dummy system(Paper and scissor's) i've also tried to make it where theres less travel(meaning less wiring length for efficent Stability)

PS1 doesn't make a green tint, that's just PS2. PS1 also isn't HD so it's pointless to get an HD LCD for it

Yeah if you want a high quality screen for a PS2p, the best thing to use is a PSone screen modded for RGB. They haven't yet made screens that fit the one million or more pixels into a 3" square as far as I know.

I just can't wait until they make inexpensive OLED screens that can accept composite or RGB.

i might be getting a PSP soon so i'll be doing some Experiements of seeing if it is possible to use a PSP screen on the PS2

btw this is the first ever console conversion i ever done

so help will be needed

The only LCDs that small with that high of definition are in LCD projectors-that's why they're so dern expensive.

They use an LCD screen about 3-4" wide with a resolution of about 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768. You could try finding an older projector and taking it apart for it's screen. It's worth a look at. (Try to find one with a burned out bulb, because it will be cheaper.)

Yeah, that's a $250 mistake. It's impossible, so you will end up with a screen-less PSP and a broken pointless screen.
