I may get the IPOD Version, Watch it, if i like the movie, I'll get BIG version.
Nope you just need the video codecs and a video player that will use that codecs. Sorry but I haven't found one that works with the videos I have that are in MPEG-4, H264 will work in Quicktime no problem... just be sure to have the updated version.

May I suggest;
480x320, MP4 or MPG format, stereo AAC audio at 44.100 kHz

You do realise that 44.1khz is not the bitrate, it is the sampling rate, and usualy is not even mentioned as it is default with most programs and is used for just about everything. The only other sampling rate really used is 48khz, which is mainly for DVDs. So.. what should the audio bitrate then be Skyone?
benheckc wrote:Oh, Well that's nearly identical specs to the iPod version. Only difference is audio bitrate, like that matters.
He never mentioned the audio bitrate, so if you're talking about the sampling rate, no it does not matter as much as said above. If you're actualy talking about bitrate, then that's ignorant. Everybody cares about bitrate; it does matter. In my opinion, anything under 128kbp/s is horrible.

Yep below that you would basically just get 'tinny' sound with anything other than OGG. Id say about 128kbps - 192kbps for a lwo file size and a variable video bitrate depending on how big we want the file.

Both versions have now been created. They are:

378 megs (320x240 resolution) iPod Video. M4V format, stereo AAC audio at 44.100 kHz. Can also be used with Playstation Portable (PSP)

1.3 gigs 640x480 (Full DV resolution) QuickTime. MP4 format, stereo AAC audio at 44.100 kHz (Requires a fast computer for playback and broadband for download)

One thing, the file extension on the iPod version is actuallt M4V. Will that be a problem when used with the PSP?

Also the Port Washington site is online.

Not everything is live yet, but there's still lots to look at. Some spoilers are in the "Fun Facts" section, so beware.

Pay attention here if you do not have QuickTime 7!

Programs that can play MPEG 4 Files:
-<a href="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download">QuickTime 7</a> <a href="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download ... .html">Get it WITHOUT downloading iTunes, if you want</a>
-<a href="http://www.videolan.org/vlc/">VLC Media Player</a> Recommended

Programs that apparently cannot play MPEG4 files
-Windows Media Player *
-DiVX Player

Untested:
- XMMS and other Linux media players
- RealPlayer
- WinAmp

* Maybe it can with some third party codec...

Keep in mind that I'm talking about reputable players, not stuff like "Bobz Downloadz Playz0r 4 U" and other random ones.

So, is a DVD version of the movie going to be available to buy? If not, then how about a DVD iso to download?
