So anyways, for the power to screen on my NES I had to purchase to capacitors. i purchased to metal something ones, they came in blue rectangles and were shaped like a sign with two posts (the leads). When I got home I noticed the ones in the book had a + and - meaning they are electrolytic capacitors I think. Is it going to matter? Is it crucial that I go out and purchase the ones with polar ends or can I use these as long as they are of the right rating? (.1 uf and 1 uf) Thanks.

yeah, dont worry about it. The ones you got were polyester film capacitors instead of electrolytic. The only reason electrolytic capacitors are polarized is because of the dielectric they have inside, if it's installed backwards they blow up. The ones you got are fine to be installed either way
