Don't feel bad, i tried to get it to work the first day i got my PSP :lol:

If the official PSOne emulator can play ripped iso's of my owned PS games, then i would upgrade...but if i have to re-buy rhem, screw it

Ya thats the main thing with me, If I have to buy the games for something like $15 (or it can't play FFVII and FFVIII) then screw it, I'll just use the homebrew one, even if it's dosn't work as well.

I have some concerns with the Emulator. L2 and R2? 2nd analog stick?

well oviously you can't play some games, but come on, when the PS came out it didn't have any analog sticks at all so that shouldn't be mutch of a problem, and also remember, the psp has the Home, Screen and Sound buttons down on the bottom that can be drafted for the homebrew version.

Thank god Metal Gear Solid uses D-pad.
