This guy is making people think "Whoa, 1 cent for that game, what a deal!" and they don't LOOK at the shipping charges and end up paying a lot.

I've seen stuff like that on ebay, but for like Ruroni Kenshin series. They'd sell you it for 0.01 and the shipping was $45.99. I can't argue with the anime, but a game, esspeally one like that. They need to be kicked for that bull.

But that's probably about right for total costs, and it works out for the seller since they don't need to pay the same listing fees

Well I heard from one person that they do that to get around taxes. The selling price can be taxed so they have pretty much all the cost represented in shipping, which isn't taxable. Though I don't know if this idea/model is true, just that someone told me that is the reason they have the autions that way.

I'm a good ebayer, I actually use my shipping charges to pay for the shipping only (and it's damn cheap from Japan by USPS). Always check your shipping costs and if one isn't written on the auction, ask the seller before bidding. I almost bid on some system that was selling for one cent until I looked at the $149 shipping price.

I'll probably start listing some FF12 potions soon, they're going for outrageous prices on ebay, when you include shipping.

No, this is a typo: Hi my name is Skoyne.

This isn't: The shipping is $1000.

What was he gonna say, $100? Even $10 is too expensive.

Spiking S&H charges like that is against ebay's policy, but they've even told me themselves that they don't search out rule breakers much, they just rely on people reporting it.
