SPAM-BUSTERS!
Hey guys. Enjoying your stay here at the BH lounge? Good, good...it has come to the attention of the administration here that some of the members of our little club have been "spamming it up." This will not be tolerated, as that it makes the other customers' stay most unpleasant. So there will be a crackdown on a thread's spaminessl until the level of thread creation returns to normal. Thank you, and have a nice day.

in general, just post a topic when it's really necessary. something that can be thoroughly discussed, and not just a stupid or silly question. just posting for the hell of it is frowned upon.
go work on portables or something instead
. or go work to make money, and THEN work on portables
.

Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

We're not here to point fingers, it's just that in general there have been a lot of spam threads spamming up the joint. (For example the creepy thread about pants)
We just ask for people to think twice before hitting Submit. THreads with a point are OK, but pointless spammy useless rubbish is unacceptable.
Let's just make this clear:
WE DON'T LIKE SPAM!

It's just a visual many people put up to say don't spam (post useless threads/posts). Spamming is really just stupid topics, stuff that you'd respond to in one line/word. Like the "fillin the blank" thread.
We don't like spam here mainly because Ben is paying for the bandwidth with his money. So the mods and adminstrators here feel we need to keep it down, that way Ben doesn't have to spend more money on us.
If anyone here does want a place to spam up. Animeyume.org, has a forum amply names "spam" join there and post to your heart's delight.

Personally, I don't think it's much of a problem with the posts, but more of one with the threads. Keep in mind, not every little thing that you wonder about needs a thread. While I'm talking about this stuff (or close to it) PLEASE write better subjects... from what I see on the front page of F42:
Do you ever...: In this case, maybe whittling or something like that
Pants: Running with pants vs. without
Batt question: Not too horrible, but if you have the space, is it that hard to write "ery" at the end?
has anyone ever tried this: How about "lego cases" also, that should be in the cases forum, I'm moving it now
Request please.: How about "Photoshop request" or something like that... a request could be for just about anything
Question! x2: Yeah, a lot of things in F42 are questions... what is this question about?
Camera: 35mm? Digital? Video? What about it? Do you have a problem? Are you looking for advice in buying?
Myamoto is gonan be nighted!: Not too bad, but horrible spelling (already talked about in the thread)
Is this.... : this what? and what about it?
Now Which one?: just adding "(Atari computers)" would make a huge difference
That's 10 threads on the first page alone! With 50 threads total, that's 1 in 5 threads with these kinds of subjects. C'mon people!
Ok, that is all. I think this rant was long enough to need a tag, so I'll stop it with this[/rant]

Well, really i've just been following along with people. But i'll start to make a difference by only making important threads too.
I don't mean to advertise -- but if you want to talk about spam you can come to Portable Street ( click the sig) and goto Forum 666. We have a section about rules, but i'm starting to think that our rules should only apply to the sections about portabalizing. Besides, me and the mods have already been spamming on PS's F666.
Please note that our rules will change if we run out of bandwidth.
I hope Luc doesn't mind me saying this. I'm only trying to help by redirecting spammers to our place because we don't care.

I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...
