Game Gear Adapter

I know you can play old games on the nomad but is there an adapter to plag into the game gear to play any other old sega games?

No, the Megadrive has a pallette of 512 colours displaying 64 at a time, whilst Game Gear has 3000 something, displaying 32 at a time, so in that case, graphics would be garbled if Game Gear games were played on Genesis

Yes, it's called the Master Gear. When pluged in it lets you play Sega Master System games. Scroll to the bottem, that is what it looks like. If you want one I'd say check, Amazon.com, ebay, half.com, and vintagefunworld.com.

Obviously you've forgotten that he wants to play games ON the game gear, and you've also forgotten that there are consoles before the genesis..

Even so there is an adapter to let you play Master System games on the Genesis/Megadrive. I don't know what the full name is but it's something base. Now before anyone shots me down it doesn't use emulation. The Genesis useds a z80 for the audio, and the Master System used a z80 for it's CPU so it runs quite fine. At least thats my understanding.

P.S. I don't think you can wire up the base adapter to play Game Gear games. There has been talk but it hasn't been tested.

Sorry, reading the post again, yeah, I know about the Master System Jeff... but I thought he meant playing GG games on the Nomad

They sell it on lik-sang, check under Genesis/Megadrive and look at the Genesis/Master System Mark 3 adapter... I think, something like that...
