As much as we'd like to believe it, video games are not recognized as art in many countries; athough video games truly are art, moreso than most movies, there are acutally GOVERNMENT STANDARDS to define "art". Pretty stupid, yes, but you can all thank the poop egress at Rockstar (you know, the bastards who made GTA and gave the gaming industry a bad name as a whole, which really sucks?) for that. Thanks to "hot coffee", the U.S. will probably never recognize video games as an art.

Norway's deptartment of fine arts donated millions to the upcoming sequel to The Longest Journey. It'll be called Dreamfall, and will be released very soon. So yeah, games are being considered art now.Dr. KillGood wrote: finally video game developers are recognised as artests!
