flash animation is sweet, and i think it would be sweet to learn how. i have macromedia flash professional 8 with a bunch of extensions. i searched for tutorials, but didnt find much. anyone know of any good how-to's. i used this once at a college visit and it was fun.

I agree with gamer2, the Super Flash Bros. tutorials are good. However, they're more useful if you have a bit of experience with Flash's tools.

I'm still figuring out things like ActionScript and tougher drawing and lighting effects, but here's a couple sites that helped me a lot:

http://freeflashtutorials.com/ Over 2 hours of video instruction for free! Covers everythinng from tool introduction to simple drawings.

http://newgrounds.com/flash/index.html Newgrounds tutorials. Everything but the kitchen sink is here. Drawing, sprites, basic actionscript, preloaders, audio compression, even some more advanced drawing.
http://www.locklegion.com The home of the Lock Legion! Simple, to-the-point tutorials, a .fla archive (lots of examples!) and an entire forum based around Flash
