Ah the SNES will draw between 1.1 and 1.5 amps. The best battery I know of is a Ni-MH 3000mA. If you're lucky you can find them at RadioShack, otherwise ebay is the best place to look, they go for about $20-30 each. The charger you can use is a R/C charger RadioShack sells, I believe they're about $15 for the charger.

One will give you about 2-2.5 hours of play. If you want more time buy two batteries and connect them in parellel, then you can get about 4 or more hours.

No, my old SNES draws about 500mA @ 7.2v. The psone screen (modded) takes 350 mA, so that's 750mA total.

I'm high balling it, better to be prepaired for the worst then not. Also not many newbies do the LED mod on the PSone screen.

Yes, so expect out of that that battery I mentioned a little over 3 hours. Oh and keep in mind that games that use the FX chip (like Starfox) will consume more power, so you're time will be less.

Why don't you just use 6 Energizer AA 1.2v Ni-MH 2800mAh batteries? They are a lot cheeper than $50 for all 6.

snes draws about 450ma i think and so does a hipgear screen i think a psone screen draws aboutthe same also. so together you would have a draw fo about ~.9 amps or 900milliamps so wioth 2800 ma batteries you would probably get ~3hours i think thats right because that is about the playtime i get with my snes and psone screen on 2500ma batteries

The numbers everyone mentiones for the power consumpsion of a system/screen is the amps per hour. So add the screen and system curent draw (amps) together. Then how many times does that go into the amps your batteries hold.

S+C=D : B/D=R

Screen + Consol = Draw : Battery(capacity) / Draw = Run(time)

VCR silly :lol:
V=C*R
C=V/R
R=V/C

V=Voltage, C=Current, R=Ressistence

So hold on a minute... how many volts and mAh does the PSOne screen take WITHOUT the LED mod?
