1 Year! / Gran Turismo 4

I just remembered that I have been a member here for a year! Wow. All the time spent here, all the people I've met...

I remember the great Hack attack, Nightmare, corky the portablizer (:lol: ), peppers, and a bunch of other important things and people from before... *feels sorta old*

As a little piece of nostalgia, here's what <a href="http://web.archive.org/web/200406051739 ... eck.com</a> and <a href="http://web.archive.org/web/200409260329 ... .org/">PoD (then doomportables.org)</a> looked like at the time! (PoD is a bit incomplete but you get the idea)

And to keep this thread from being complete rubbish, I'll say this:

I just bought Gran Turismo 4 and I have to admit it's one of the few new (-ish) games I'm impressed with. There are virtually limitless car options and the story mode is addictive.

I don't care if the 360's driving games' graphics are better because

1. I already own a PS2 (the big one no less!) and I'm happy with it
2. We don't have anything HDTV ready so what difference does it make?
3. The TV in my room only accepts RF signals so I have to route my composite signals through my VCR (which is mono, too)
4. Good gameplay is more important than shiny graphics.

I had a biot of trouble with the Class A license tests, and I'm not used to so much understeer on the cars, but I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10.

This brings my grand total number of PS2 games to 8.

And here he is 1 year later and the jesus/hulk still remains. My 1 year anniversery will be coming up in a few months. Who knows what will happen during that time!

Hm... I remember the site of old back from 2003, at classicgaming.com/vcsp . I've known this site and lurked in the forums ever since, only bothered to register in September last year
