I'm afraid frisbee doesn't count as normal use. But you can use it as one as long as you send me pictures of the unit when you are done playing.

And Triton, yes the Advantage will be used, along with capability to use normal controllers.

What kinda NOAC are you using? SJ3? Yobo? (yobo is pretty small and better if you want it to come with a usa cartridge slot and it comes with original controller ports!)

Provided you don't mind Famicom cart slots and controller ports (you should have a couple of extra controller ports from your previous projects, yes?), I can probably sell you a couple of just NOACs (no case, no nothing) for... let's say substantially less than $20something

But I'll have to smuggle them back from Japan first and test them out.

If all goes according to plan, I might be able to get a bunch more later.

I appreciate it but I'm really looking for a Non-Famicom cartridge slot. That's one of the main reasons I like the Yobo - I don't have to resolder anything. If you can get Yobo's or something with a US slot - I'd be very interested.

klefmung, I'm currently building a CNC machine. I vowed never to build a handcut and hand-bent aluminum portable again - it is too much of a pain. If/when I get this done - hopefully in a week, I can probably start getting out portables in some kind of volume. I'd probably charge $99 if you sent me all the parts. Because it still does take a lot of handiwork and time to get the system put together.

This could probably go into the case construction area, but it's a response to your having trouble bending the aluminum.

Since you are making a round portable why not buy a big piece of pipe (plastic or metal) from a hardware store. I think I have seen drainage pipes aroun 8" or so, you could just chop off a "slice" and make your side walls out of it.

you know, that's a great idea - and i thought of doing that. If my CNC machine fails, I probably will do it, but I'm also trying to get away from using nylon spacers for screw posts. And the CNC will eliminate both problems. by allowing me to cut very customized plastic pieces. thanks for the advice though.

Thanks. I saw you other post too. Just for the record, I did go back and change my auction to give Ben credit about 2 days into it. It was the right thing to do as it was his design. This one is electronicly close to his design as well but the case is mainly customized by me.

Hey where did you get that video for your avatar. That's pretty wild.
