Looks good ! A few problems, though.
1. If memory serves, the NES controller is smaller in width than the NES dust cover, and the cover may get in the way when playing.
2. Is the Family converter going to be in any way attached to the dust cover? If so, you may not want to, seeing as the flimsy dust cover cart slot probably couldn't take the constant re-insertion of a zero-force insertion cart slot.
3. The PSOne screen is much bigger than you have depicted; the motherboard is large and rounded, not square. So you either have to make the case larger all the way around, or just make the part that houses the PSOne screen round.

Thanks a lot, I forgot about the round thing... Any other good screens that are cheap?

I compared the game sleeve to the controller and they the the same EXACT size, which is great. About 5 inches. Where can I get cases that big? Preferably with a battery slot?

EDIT: Oh and the family converty will be pushed into the game after you slide it through the sleeve, which will have the bottom cut off.

Oh and do you think the Player 2 port is a good idea? Will it work?

Hip Gear/Intec screen pad. These are 2.6" LCD displays that were attached to the top of PS2 and Xbox controllers. They run 40 bucks wholesale, 20-50 on ebay. Compusa website sells the intec version for 40 bucks and amazon sells them occasionally.

For the case solution, a tackle box. They are just as good as project boxes, only more readily avalible. I really don't think any project box that big has a battery cart, so you will have to install one. Hope this helped.

I like your idea for the player 2 port. It should work, but it would take up a lot of room to have a retractable cord with a crank.

Here is what I do for my yobos:
I take the controller, cut off the end, with some cord still attached, use needle nosed pliers and awesome strenth to burst through the plastic guides for the controller plug, take the little lead things, yank them through to see which color insulated wire inside the large rubber cord goes in which spot. Then I do this.

(little leads from the player one port connecting it to the circuits here)
(right wires soldered to right leads for built in controller here, using methods described above)





So.... there you have it! You can connect a controller to be built in, and still have an open 1st AND second port open (just leave second player port alone) in the case of you not wanting to use the built in controller. I hope I helped. And If you are using a full sized model instead of a NOAC, there are long wires connecting it, so do the same thing to the controller, but splice into the correct wires connecting it to the board. The built in controller isn't really built in though. It comes off with velcro (the cable is on a spindle on the inside) and the player 2 port is behind where the "built in" controller was. So it pretty much transforms into a tv with an NES built in. And you can't unplug player 1.
