Yup thats my working name^^^^ I did that little battery-pack thing Ben had in the book today. Worked pretty well. All I need to do now is wire up a player two port, redo the relocated cart-slot, redo the power switch, redo the video connection and add video out, maybe do the led mod. Wire the tv to the atari. Figure out the auto-matic headphone-jack audio input thing on my tv and wire up a paddle. This weekend I'll tackle the case. Overall I'd say its 605 done as in I could throw this all into a box right now and it would work pretty well.
-- I also might have to redo the controller and video -mod. I'm using Ben's old mod not the new one.

You mentioned you used the battery setup from Ben's book, why would you be using the old video mod then. Don't you have the book?
Relocating the car slot shouldn't have any effect on the chips temperature. Not that those chips could get very hot anyways.
