Actually Picard is from Labarre, France so that makes him French.Extreme_Jesus wrote:I have to confess im a bit of a sci fi fan
I personnaly prefer picard probably because kirk was before my time and i never really got into those series
My mums a big trekkie and i have the misfortune of the internet computer being next to the tv, show ive come to like the various sci-fi shows she watches
Picard is british too, another bonus. but i do just want to play his bald head like a bongo

What's wrong with you people? Kirk is a legend in Picard's time. Captains talk with each other saying, "Damn, if I could only be half of the captain that Kirk was..."
Kirk went back to our time, put a humpback whale in the hull of a commandeered Klingon Bird of Prey, and returned it to his present time all so that some cylindrical probe thingy could be satisfied that at least one humpback whale still remains (with more on the way of course since "Gracie is pregnant"). EAT YOUR HEART OUT PICARD!

Kirk may be a leagend in in the 24th century, but I've never heard of the kirk menuver. The Picard manuver is just crazy, go to high warp and stop right at your enemy's bow and let every weapon you have fire.

Must we bring it up again that Picard saved all of humanity by closing that anti-time anomaly- and he did it while half his crew thought he was insane! If it wasn't for that act, Kirk would never have been born (no one would have). What's wrong with you people?
Kirk is legendary in Picard's time, yes, but we don't know whether Picard will be famous as well in a few centuries, so that point is moot!! MOOT I SAY!
Kirk has had many women, however....hmm....its actually a tough choice here. Kirk was just following his moral incentive to make women happy!

Hey Cennar I mentioned this before
Dune was '84 before TNG by about 4 years. He was also in a King Arther movie (don't remember the name). He's been on Family guy, and the new Bambi 2 movie has him as the Buck Deer. To say Patrick Steward has not done much is just stupid, he's done a lot, bother before and after TNG series.Sparkfist wrote:Patrick Stewart had a well established movie career before Star Trek, he doesn't need a music album!

Alright, if we're bringing up the history of the actors themselves into play, check this out...Sparkfist wrote:Patrick Stewart had a well established movie career before Star Trek, he doesn't need a music album!
Shatner's IMDB Listing
Stewart's IMDB Listing
Shatner has 185 items in his filmography to Stewart's 93... practically double. Shatner's first appearance in Star Trek was at number 135, putting 50 acting roles between the beginning of his career and Star Trek. Stewart first appeared on Star Trek at number 66, leaving 27 acting gigs between the start of his career and Star Trek.
So Shatner was well established as well. Some of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes star Shatner. Needless to say, they're both good actors with their own unique style of delivery. I think Shatner just gets picked on more for his.
