I never grew up with any game system other than a genesis and playstation. Yet when I bought my first NES, I fell in love with it. Not because of the graphics (my genesis beat it there), not because of nostalgic feelings (because there were none to begin with!), just because the game play was FUN!
Thats always how I judge games, and game systems, by their fun factor.

One of the reasons I dislike new generation games is because they usually just copy all of the old games. Like nowadays they can never come up with a good original RPG. But my biggest dislike of them are that the controllers have to many buttons! Sure they do lots of stuff but........why so many buttons? They confuse me sometimes

I like the Atari for 3 reasons:
1) Although I'm 19 and therefore technically fall under the NES/SNES age, my dad had an Atari and it was my first experience with video games (although brief - we got an SNES by the time I was in first or second grade)
2) It's the only portable that I've made that has actually worked without a problem and construction was done in a couple of days. Granted, I housed it in a cardboard box at the time...
3) In contrast to Chrono, I beleive some Atari games rock for the very fact that they don't have story lines. It's a gaming machine that plays games. Period. Sometimes I'd really rather just get to the gaming than suffer through poorly written storylines that the developers felt obligated to put in. Not to say that I haven't wasted an entire summer or two obsessing over Final Fantasy VII or X...
