This screen looks UBERLY COOL!!!

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

This screen looks UBERLY COOL!!!

It's a MadCatz 7 inch universal screen. I have one; giving it to Aktafighter for fixing my portable SNES. Anyway, the case also looks PERFECT to make a portable out of, and although I haven't opened it, there seems to be plenty of room in there for a MB of a console. Has anyone ever done this? I know dkap is using a 7 inch display for his portable Xbox. Is this it? Here's the link: http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=801734

EDIT: New avatar  In honor of Fullmetal Alchemist ending soon. Which one is better? (For those of you who don't know, my old one was Crono.)

well the LCD display is actually crystal clear despite the brand name. Ya i know it would be kind of "big", but it would be a super nice display; It actually wouldn't be that bad, seeing as the dimensions of the whole thing are 5x8, and the screen holder could feasibly make a nice little case!

PS- O madness, how can you say a screen is "big" when your n64p was like an A-bomb?!?!?!?!?!

i was about to get one of those for my N64p a while ago but i couldn't find one cheap enough so i got psone screen. if the pcb in it is small enough, it looks like it would make a great case/screen

Yes, it really does look quite perfect, especially if you need a big screen for EXTREME immersion! Imagine playing StarFox on a screen like THAT!

I got one of thoise for free last year. It takes 12volts in, kinda  It has a 7805 regulator, but it needs like at least an amp. MAybe an led mod would help, idk.
