anyway, you would have the voltage from the battery converted into 7.2V-9V for the PSone screen. easiest way would be a 7808

.

I'm confused about that, actually. I thought the screen (modded) would run off of 5 volts, thus the exsistance of the 7805. Am I wrong about this? I thought the only thing that used the higher voltage was the inverter for the lamp (unmodded).

nope, it's for the actual video chip, I believe. it needs 7V or so (though 7.5 is needed for the 7805, so that's what's use on the chip

)

im thinkin about just slicing off the 2nd mem card port. do any games really need it or is it just for transfering game files from card to card. the only game i could think of that uses it would be mario party6 for the microphone but im not sure because i dont own it. anyone know of any other games that use it? i just wanna be sure before i probably destroy it when desoldering it

another question of mine. in theory would it work if i wired two huge memory cards to the first port so i just have a crap load of memory on port one and have port two so i could transfer files to the huge memory

It can be but 12 Volts will fry the screen, you will need to wire in a 7808

Can you please post a picture of the insides!? I'm buying one for 10 bucks and need to see how bug the insides are....and you can goto digikey.com and get a 7808. I'll post a wiring pic to show you what to do

You could google search LM7808 and look for the digikey.com adress. BTW, thankks for the pics.....the battery doesnt look to big at all, now i'm off to Amazon to buy it for 10 bucks!
