This adapter lets you plug in a self-powered APU sound module from a Super Nintendo and load any SPC file from your computer onto it! As you can see, it works through the parallel port.

Right now I'm listening to some cracktro music. Good stuff! You can unplug the module once the song is done loading, and it loops infinitely.
This is the first stage of my Portable SPC Player. I'm going to use a PIC16F876 to load SPC files off a FAT16 formatted MMC memory card, and load them onto the APU module without a PC, sort of like my own SNES ipod.

If you're interested, I made a PCB for future users to build this, if you want. I didn't make the schematic, just built it and made the PCB above. If you want a high-res version or the ExpressPCB source, let me know.
