Crazy 2600 question.

sorry, I didn't know you were going directly to the screen (though I should have thought so)

In that case, take the ground from the 2600 I mentioned eariler, and find a ground point on the hip screen (if there is some shielding somewhere, that's usually a good ground point) Then, just connect the 2 points together.

As for the battery, I'm not sure how it works on a junior... you may want to use a new switch and wire it directly to the 7805. If you don't mind using a different switch, I can go into more detail

Here's an update!

I can barely make out the picture. There appears to be uncontrollable scrolling, & to make matters worse it also appears to be B & W. Yuck! Oh well at least I can amost make out something....

You got pots connected between the screen and the Atari? If so try adjusting them carefully to get the screen to become more managable. The only thing else is double check the video mod and besure you have it correct, any little thing could cause it to act differently.

Hi guys, I haven't been able to improve on the image much. It is just constantly scrolling. I'm beginning to wonder if the hip gear is very compatible with the 2600 jr? Has anyone actually used those 2 together?

Here is a crazy idea. Can anyone explain to me how to use the non-composite video on a hip gear or psone? Similar to using the game/computer box? Can that thing be hooked up to a 2600 + screen? I know the quality will suck, but it's better than what I'm getting. Thanks.

the hip gear (and all lcd's besides pocket tv's) cannot take that kind of signal, because it does not have a tuner.
