have you ever watched tv, and they show a gray suit or something? Then, at the right angle, it has all these weird colors flickering? It's a lot like that.

The dots in the fake shadow creates a "Moire" effect on CRT monitors. You can't see it with LCD screens.

thats because of the light or something. Depending on where you live, your screen will flick on and off 60 or 75 times a second....On CRT monitors, if you record video on them, you can see the line flicker down the screen....on LCD it's harder to see.
