Controller & memory card pinout

When you connect the controller board to the mother board, you connect each pin's # to it's partner right? (Like you connect pin 1 on the controller board to pin 1 on the mother board right)

No..I mean, I don't believe so. But I only used an old PSX Dual Shock. Others might be different. But if you rip apart the male connector (on the controller's cord), they're in THAT order... Plus I think there's an image around here somewhere that shows you.

So is that picture for a regular Psone controller to the psone motherboard? How about the pins behind it, are they the memory card pins?

Is there a pinout for the memory card too? Also to connect a tact switch to the controller board, you connect the wires to where the buttons used to be right?

I don't get it, is that thing with the red dot a tact switch?
If so are you saying you connect one lead to the goldish yellow part and the other to the middle?

yes thats a tact switch. Its different that the normal ones but i think its better. Can you post a pic of you controller cause I need to see what yours is?

I'm kinda confounded about something. Inside the older PSONE dual shock controllers, there's an exposd silver wire and an exposesd brown wire...which one is ground?
