Can we get this thread back on topic please?

For the date, we're now thinking a Saturday, 3-25-06 or 4-1-06. Yes, April Fools day, a inside reference to how many times we've said this would be done and it wasn't.

Hopefully we'll have a final date set by Tuesday, then we can go backwards from there to figure out how to accomplish the remaining tasks.

If you guys are having codec problems, download and install the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack. It basically makes it possible to play ANY file format on your computer. And its free. So those few of you who said you didn't know of any free codecs to play that file type, this is more than likely one although I did not try the file out for myself.

I'm baffled on this... why the heck are you releasing a FREE near DVD quality version of the video and actually expecting people to buy it? If you want to make any dough on this movie your definitely going to want to consider a low quality free format and then charge 15 bucks or so for a DVD with special features. I'm a special features whore. Seriously I'll pay extra money for a DVD if it says special features on the back. I just saw the trailer for this movie yesterday, it looks pretty freakin cool and if its an hour and a half long I have no idea why you wouldn't want to earn at least a little bit of money for the months and months you spent making it.

Ben has said before that he would love to be able to allow all of his movies to be downloaded for free, but simply doesn't have the bandwidth to support it. I'm guessing that the movies are more a labor of love than an attempt to get money. I'm planning on downloading the movie when it becomes available, and I'm probably going to buy a copy of the DVD when he releases it. I'm sure I'm not going to be the only one to do this. And while I'm sure that selling the DVDs may offset some of the cost of making the movie, I doubt that it will actually make up for the entire cost.

If it has a short making of section or something that would be totally worth paying 20 bucks for!
