what would be the best battery to use for a gcp

li-poly, technically (by about a factor of 2). but they are sort of... dangerous. you can get some nice li-ion camcorder batteries that arent as dangerous as the indiviual cells.

Try getting some 6-cell R/C car batteries. They can be had up to 3300mAh, which is an OK battery life for a gamecube. You'll need two of these in series, so you can run the power regulator.

I wouldn't mess with Li-Ions at all unless you know what you're doing - if you run them down too much, they can explode the next time you charge them. I say that from personal experience. Burning lithium certainly makes a mess

Well, i am thinking of replacing my current setup with the GC battery, and maybe upgrade my screen battery too

I have about 80 bucks to spend to make my GCp even better.

if you have a crap load of money and somne experience check out www.batteryspace.com and look at the lithium polymer batteries with 6 amps and a charging cirsuit and a charger
