Workin on a snes..

Post by myname2 »

Wow, its been forever since Ive been on here.

Ive been workin on a portable snes the last week.

Its coming from a 95 snes, not a mini one. Ive got the screen and system both runnin off a battery (9.6 volt rc battery, 1000 mah, need a better one...) , and I am workin on relocating the cart slot. Im about half done.. jeesh its tedious.

Im gonna try to frankenstein a N64 case for it, and paint it. I ordered two controllers off of ebay tonight, should be here soon.

Ill get pics up as soon as I finish with the slot. :D

Well, heck.

I have no idea what happened. I finished relocating the cart slot, and now it turns on but no video or sound output..

Any ideas people...?

Check, check and recheck your connections.
1. Did you get the wires configured right? (No swapped wires, etc)
2. Are there any specks of solder hiding out between pins?
3. Are all the wires soldered well and not shorting against each other?

Hmm.. I checked everything, like, 3 times, and then I put hot glue over it. So Im pretty darn sure its right. It better be, lol.

Im wondering if it has something to do with the plug..?

Im still connecting it through the rgb plug. If I were to hardwire it to the board, could that fix it?

Any ideas where the video out and audio out are on a 95 snes?
