Another Voltage Question

How much voltage does a NOAC have? And if I were to use around 6 volts on my screen how much playtime would I have with both of them?

NOAC? Which one? Usually 5-6 volts though. The battery life depends on the baterry's chemical type. It's hard to calculate.

most NOACs use about 5v, you can go a bit up or down from there, generally speaking, 6v won't hurt it.

As far as how much play time you will get, iirc, most NOACs use aproximately 50mA, the screen probably uses about 350mA, but depending on the screen, it could be much higher or I suppose a little lower.

Then there's what kind of batteries you are using. If you use 4 AA batteries, I think that gives you 1200mAh (but I could be remembering incorrectly) and your screen is 350mA and your NOAC is 50mA, that means you'll get about 3 hours of game play (1200mAh / 400mA = 3 hours)

but that figure is subject to what batteries you use and the NOAC and the screen.

What if im using a 9 volt battery? Then how much play time?

you'll probably end up with less play time using a single 9 volt battery, and you'll have to step down the voltage so you don't harm your NOAC. The play time isn't dependant on the voltage, it's dependant on the mAh (milliamp hours) the higher the number of mAh, the longer your play time.

High Voltage Single Cells tend to have less amperage.. 4-5 AAs are ur best shot.. If you can get a screen that works well at that low of voltage (pocket tvs with an LED mod is a good example)

should get you about 8-10 hours of playback on higher capacity batteries..

Well, seeing as everyone already said it, I'll just say that AA's are your best bet for powering NOACs, since using 4 can get you the same power as the NOAC's and 1AA has more maH than 1 9V.

I personally like to get the energizer or duracell rechargeable AA's that have 2500 mAh. It's kinda costly to plunk down the money for them, but the combo of rechargeable plus wicked mAh for AA's makes them worth it to me.

I actually have those batteries. But is there any like batteries that are equal to the mah of 4 double a batteries? Because i dont think there is a way to add more batteries to a gameboy advance. Im making something for my friend.

unfortunately, you're restricted by the number of volts you need and the mAh you want with the size. Yes, there are other batteries that will give you as much voltage with as much mAh as 4 AA batteries, but they will still take up just as much space, they'll just be a different shape.

im making a noac portable. i want to have a 2.5 inch screen with the most less maH. Do you have any suggestions on a screen? im using those batteries that joedog talked about.

a little over 6 hours, but you might need more than 2 AA batteries to get enough voltage to run it

Well you'd have to find a step up regulator first and those can be ineficcent so i dunno sorry.
