Spongebob's source of logic has been hampered!
I used to love Spongebob as a naive child. But over time, it has changed. Back then, I noticed that the fact that they were UNDERWATER made sense, where once the starfish questioned the avalibility of fire, fire blew out. Then I saw that Lost in Time special with my brother. Fire breating Jellyfish, Sandy the Squirrel without any air protection, NO BUBBLES. I'm not saying they shouldn't bend a bit of reality, but the fact that these characters were underwater made them loveble. Has the apocalypse come, and has Spongbo b....DEFIED THE LAWS OF PHYSICS! Discuss if you will.
Aideu to all.
Aideu to all.

But they DO!
Nickelodeon has sucked ever since they introduced Spongebob. I remember back in the day they had GOOD shows:
Salute Your Shorts
The Adventures of Pete and Pete
All That (before it became all excrement-y)
Rocko's Modern Life
GUTS
Legends of the Hidden Temple
Double Dare (not that "Double Dare 2000" BS)
The Angry beavers
Hey Arnold
Nick Arcade
The list goes on.
Now all they run is junk. None of the good shows are on the regular cable channel anymore; you have to go and buy sattelite or digital cable and get Nicktoons TV and GAS. Even then you still don't get several shows (like The Angry Beavers)
All the new stuff has no character and relies mostly on cliched cartoon antics and toilet humor. I think they're trying to keep up with Cartoon Network, which is also mostly excrement except for the occasional classic cartoon, the old Johnny Bravo episodes, and Adult Swim comedy shows.
Ever since they took on shows like Fairly Oddparents and Spongebob, the whole damn channel jumped the shark. Shows were poorer quality (just look at the one, what's it called, with the cats who inherited a buttload of wealth from some old woman?) and they all seem to run together. Many episodes of some series are basically the same and follow a general plotline, like that CGI one of the scientist kid. He invents something, invention goes horribly wrong, nearly kills everyone within a 50 mile radius, invents something to fix the problem, fixes problem, end credits. There I just wrote another episode.
Another thing: I don't know if any of you know this but the Orlando Florida studios have been abandoned. They haven't filmed anything there in several years (the last filming there was for was Nick SPLAT! on August 17, 2004). It fell out of use, and they let the contract for the land with Universal Studios expire. They're renovating it to be office space (I wonder how many red staplers will be stolen before it gets set on fire?
). They painted over all the early 90s designes with basically flat, puke green in 2000 or so, which was further evidence they were going downhill. The facility finally closed on April 30, 2005. The Slime Geyser in front of Soundstage 18 was removed in May 2005. The trademark "Nickelodeon" sign above the facility was removed in January 2006. But the time capsule buried by the network in 1992 is still there for now.
The generation of kids who are now 18-22 lost what was pretty much a monument last spring. But if you have the dough you can rent the soundstages where the classic shows were filmed. The central building is currently rented to some company called "Pink Sneakers Productions".

I think we now understand the severity. I grew up with the wimp Doug, and thought of REAL MONSTERS. Arnold taught me to fight with words and encase my head as football. The 'classics' were all jumbled into the wee channel...NICKTOONS! It sucks for the actual shows aren't there, and just rejected ideas like 'MY DAD IS A ROCK STAR'. Mega funny video too...they have LOTS of F.U.N in B.E.D
. So I think the old Nick we knew, is just a stock old dudes cash in on
Bye Bye childhood, may you rest in peace.

Aww man I haven't watched Nick or Disney Channel in a while. They've been spewing crap for a while. Ex:Nick: Avitar the last Airbender?, My dad the Rockstar? Disney: The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, It's so Raven... Farewell good Nicktoons shows. Oh and farewell The Angry Beavers, Hey Arnold, and a few others...
I gotta say, old Nick kicked some serious ass! 'Specially Ren and Stimpy! The problem is that overtime, Nickelodeon became more infatuated with following the crowds and making a quick buck, that they stopped developing wholesome entertainment... Ye they have the Nicktoons channel on cable, and the said channel plays most of those favorite classics, but they have done their best to sprinkle it with BSy little animes and dumb little kids shows... This is from a kid who supposedly came from the, "Spongebob Generation", meh, BS
...
