I forgot to add it, but Primus is also high up on my list, especially Devil Went Down to Georgia.

That reminds me, does anyone know of any other good fiddling music? When I first heard DWDtG it was like Stewie Griffin first plucking on the banjo, but with a fiddle.

Woah woah... were's the love for J-pop? Isn't anyone here an anime fan!? Serious props for Daft Punk, they're awesome... but for the most part, all I listen to is Japanese music. Currently, I'd have to say my favorite song is Life, buy Yui. But it's always changing. My favorite artists are:

1. The Pillows, for the rock in me.
2. Yui, for the "OMG she has such a cute sounding voice" in me.
3. Kaori Asada (AKA Bonnie Pink), for the jazz/blues in me.
4. Ayumi Hamasaki and 5. Every Little Thing, for the pop in me.
6. ANYTHING Yoko Kanno has done, for the need for awesomeness in me. Specifically things written by her that were sung by Mayaa Sakamoto, Steve Conte, or Mai Yamane, or performed by The Seatbelts.

And now for some American artists:

1. Steve Conte (Despite the fact that he sang some of Yoko Kanno's songs for anime's such as Cowboy Bebop and Wolf's Rain, he has also independently produced a couple of his own CDs with music written by him, and is actually just some guy from New York.)
2. Daft Punk
3. Several of the people at http://www.ocremix.org who remix videogame music.
