that is pretty interesting... i dont know if it is worth the price though 7 dollars for the analog when you can get an entire controller 15 used...

Yeah but this is more for if you already have the controller but the analog is killed.

Wow, that's such a ripoff. I bought 5 new replacement joysticks from ebay for $5.05. The joysticks were a penny each, and shipping was $5.00. It's too bad that you already ordered one, because you're getting screwed.

Here's one of the sticks that I won. Since then, his prices have gone up, but this is still a better deal.

That's why ebay has the feedback system. You may be taking chances with someone who hasn't made many transactions or has a lot of negative feedback, but this guy has done over 27000 transactions, and his feedback is 99.3% positive. Not only that, but he also guarantees his products, and they can be returned if they arrive damaged. That's as good as any other online store's customer satisfaction rate and return policy. Heck, some of the power sellers on ebay do actually have their own stores, and they use ebay to conduct their business nationally.

But, hey, it's your money. Waste it however you want.

I ordered a snes off of ebay 3 weeks ago. I never got it, and I filed a claim yesterday about it.

And he's a power seller. And I was one of the 0.008% that didn't get it.

But that can happen with any other online store as well. Just because it happened to you doesn't mean that it happens frequently for that seller. The percentage obviously shows that. You can't take your own personal dissatisfaction and think that it alone will discredit the thousands of other transactions that went properly.

And it's not always the seller's fault; the postal service can screw up, too.

Why would I not believe you? Even if their rating was 99.99%, that doesn't mean that the service is flawless. Statistically, one person out of 10000 is still going to get disappointed. That would change though, depending on how many people who do or don't receive their item actually leave feedback.

I sent my GBASP to Nintendo to get it fixed, and it came back with a dead pixel. Does that mean that Nintendo does poor repairs? No. It doesn't matter how "trusted" the business is; it'll still happen to every business every once in a while.

On a side note: when you tell someone to do the math, make sure you do it correctly yourself. This seller, for recent transactions, has 9165 positive and 87 negative. Neutral isn't explicitly given, but for benefit of the doubt, we'll say 100 (I made a proportion between the recent positives and those in the last 12 months, and used neutral in the last 12 months to solve for recent neutrals: 94.2). Here's the percentage of recent negative transactions: 87/(9165+87+100) x 100% = 0.93%. Now, where did you come up with 0.008%?

jay - they probably sent you back a different one. i think thats how its done, to improve turnaround time (which essentially becomes 0)

that isnt 5.05 chief.. it doesnt say in the auction that he will combine shipping, just take 25% off if u buy multiple items.

I think I know what I paid.

He combined the shipping for some of the items, since I bought a lot more than just the joysticks. Most of the stuff didn't weigh much, so thus he doesn't have to charge additional shipping, as the shipping cost itself won't raise much; just the packaging cost would increase. The $5.00 was an estimate; I divided the shipping between the items that I bought, and that's what it comes out to (about $1.00 per item).
