You need the right codecs get divx player.

It's encoded with the Indeo codec.

:shock: Whoa when did they decide to charge for it?! Somebody re-encode the video to an MPEG-4 or something! :o

Bic they have been chargeing for it for years :P Just noone uses the damn codec since DIVX came out.

But.. but it ran on my old PC without a problem! I have Divx installed and it won't play it... not even in VLC media player! :?

Quicktime 7- nope
Media Player 10- nada
DiVX player- no go
VLC- at least I get sound...

Skyone, what version of Windows do you have installed, and what version of media player?

Old PCs have the codec installed through windows. I incoutered this problem when I wanted to play a old game on XP but I was missing that codec. Apperintly Microsoft felt that the codec was useless and scraped it from Windows 98+ systems, probobly because the company wanted to make money from it.
