You stick a wire through the hole, and you apply solder to the pad with a hot iron... Have you never soldered before? I'd reccomend doing a test project before you try to mess with your genesis, or you might end up with a dead genesis on your hands.

I have never soldered before and I'll practice first like you suggested. What kind of solder iron would you suggest for this job? (30,40 watt, etc)

A 30 watt pencil tip will be more than enough. You can probably nab one from RatShack for around $15.

For phono plugs what kind of phono plugs (male,female,right angle,etc.) would you (or someone) recomend for the intec PSone screen and Sega version 3?

If you want the phone plug to be for a head set you have two choices; either keep the plug that is with the Screen (should have one) or buy one. Either way the plug is going to be female, as all headsets are male.

And as for connecting the headset and phono plug. I'd say get a switch (proper name escapes me now) that will disconnect the connection to the screen's speakers so only audio is coming from the headset. One of the other members should remember the name of the switch.

Wait a sec... then why does G-Force's Ondago say: 2) Three right angle, male, phono plugs from Radio Shack. Is it because he doesn't use a headset or what? And also do you really need right angle, can't it just be normal angle?
